OneForJesus Evangelism Kit
Have your Evangelism Kit, and are wondering how to get started sharing Christ with your pre-believing friends? We're here to help!
Firstly, thank you for your heart to share God’s love and blessings with your loved ones and those around you.
When sharing with people who have yet to know Jesus, here’s a helpful model to engage with our friends: B-L-E-S-S.
-
B stands for Begin with Prayer.
Before we start sharing, let us begin to pray for our friends and ourselves. Let us seek the Lord for wisdom and rely on the Holy Spirit.
-
L stands for Listen.
When meeting with our friends, come with an open heart, choosing to listen before we speak. We listen with empathy to what they’re going through and look for ways we can be God’s blessing to them.
-
E stands for Eat.
What is one thing that Jesus often did during His time on earth? That’s right—Jesus ate and fellowshipped with the people around Him! Likewise, let’s find opportunities to create meaningful connections and bond with our pre-believing friends.
-
S stands for Serve.
As we pray for our friends, listen to them, and eat with them, let’s look for meaningful ways to serve them. We can serve others through encouragement, practical help, being there for them, and offering prayers.
-
S stands for Share.
After doing all the above, let us boldly share our testimony about the goodness of God in our life, earning the right to be heard. Finally, when the moment feels right, share the message of God’s love and the gospel clearly and confidently.
To help you remember this acronym, we have included printed "BLESS" cards in the Evangelism Kit Host pack.
How to use the Evangelism Kit as a Conversation Starter
Curious how you can use the OFJ Evangelism Kit to share the gospel with your friends? Before we begin, let me show you what’s inside the kit.
The kit includes:
-
A gift box featuring a Bible verse about the attributes of love, printed in both English and Chinese. This verse is taken from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
-
A ceramic cup filled with blessings written in both English and Chinese.
-
A wooden coaster with the word “Love” at the center, surrounded by attributes of love.
-
Seeker-friendly tracts from ODB - money and happiness
When presenting this gift to your friend, here are some ways you can share the gospel with them:
-
Introduction to Gift
"I hope you like this gift. When I bought it for you, I prayed that God would bless you and your family with many blessings, as shown on this cup. Which of these blessings do you like the most?"
When your friend answers, you could respond:
"Thank you for sharing. Is it okay if I pray for you, that God will bless you?"
-
Show them the coaster.
"These are attributes of love. Did you know that the Bible says God is love? More than just blessings, God wants you to know that He loves you. Would you like to receive God’s love in your heart?"
-
Personal Testimony
Depending on your friend’s responses and as the Holy Spirit leads, consider sharing a personal testimony that resonates with their situation.
-
Invitation to Receive God's Love
If they are open, ask if they would like to receive God’s love into their heart. When appropriate, lead them in the salvation prayer.
We hope these conversational tips inspire and encourage you! May God bless you as you continue to share His love with those around you.

Chinese New Year Conversation Starter Cards
Tutorial on OFJ Chinese New Year Conversation Starter Cards
For Evangelism Kits delivered before End-January 2025, the Host Pack will receive Chinese New Year Conversation Starter Cards.
Chinese New Year is a time to reconnect with loved ones during visitations and gatherings. Have you ever wished for deeper, more meaningful conversations? The OFJ Chinese New Year Conversation Starter Cards are here to help!
Each set contains six cards, with one thoughtful question in English and Chinese on each card. A QR code on the card links to a short video featuring a Bible verse related to the question, providing an opportunity to explore God’s love together.
To get started:
-
Gather a group of two or more.
-
Introduce the cards: “I’m so thankful we can gather today. I came across these conversation starter cards and thought it might be fun to try them together.”
-
Place the cards face down. The first person picks the top card, reads the question aloud, and answers it. The card is then placed at the bottom of the stack for the next person.
As participants share, feel free to respond with prompts like:
-
“Thank you for sharing. What was that experience like for you?”
-
“How did that moment shape you?”
-
“If you could revisit that time, what might you do differently?”
If participants are open, you can scan the QR code on the card to share the related Bible verse, asking, “What do you think about this verse? Does it resonate with you?”
At the end, you may share a personal story or testimony connected to the conversation, and if the moment feels right, offer a prayer or blessing.
These cards are a tool, and you’re encouraged to use them creatively to suit your group. May they bless your gatherings this Chinese New Year with Spirit-led, meaningful conversations.
